Monday’s welcome (4pm at the AUT Marae) will include some opportunities for the group to sing one or two songs in te reo (maori language). We’re not sure which ones we will do but we have four on our list. Here are the links to versions of the four Waiata. Of course we won’t be able to pull off a performance like those in the videos but take a look and below are the words to the songs:
1. Nga Iwi e: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJGgjhYLlJc (famous NZ singer the Topp Twins)
2. Tutira Mai nga iwi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZkCvpKjBCs (AllBlacks Version)
